Eesh, I hope you feel better soon! I'm still home sick today - I probably could have made it into work today, but I think this is the same bug I've been fighting off-and-on for a couple of weeks, and I'm trying to beat it for good.

Thanks for the advice. That's smart stuff that should work. I've tried to incorporate "start small" into the techniques I'm using, but somehow I still haven't been able to get myself going.

But what you said about figuring out why I want to do the things I want to do ... that's getting my brain processes going. I think I'll take it one step further, and also ask, "why do I want to do what I do instead?" For instance, I want to write because I want to be creatively productive, which makes me feel fulfilled. But if I, say, putter around the house doing non-essential chores instead, there's a reason I want to do that (even if it's not a good one). If I hold up both reasons to the light and look at them clearly, I think it'll be harder for me to choose the poor reason.

As for how to implement this mental system, I may need to revisit the weekly goals ...
