The twins are an unstoppable, unexpected duo for the "peaceful" reign of Earth and Hell :D

It's sorta funny how things didn't turn out like either of them expected. I think it might be harder for the twins if Earth hadn't gone through so many changes. Even if Sae hadn't become Queen of Hell, and Reika hadn't gone Celestial, the world is too broken for them to go back to the normal lives they fantasized about, anyway.

Instead, they get to do big important things on Hell and Earth together. :D It's all very exciting once the shock wears away.

Ultimately, this is pretty close to what Sae wants. Even the "normal" life she wanted would have involved something like the family business, because she lacks the patience and skills for normal 16 year-old lives. And even then, a job like Otonashi's probably involves more espionage and infiltration than combat, which isn't Sae's main focus.

You know, I remember thinking, back when we had the conversation about the twins' post-war lives, that Sae's work-for-parents-and-visit-M-Tor plans were kind of nebulous and lacked some strong, central purpose. Now she has that purpose, and provides a complement to her sister's work. It's almost like some higher power put this all in place ... ;D

Bless Nariko! We weren't even supposed to fight Asmodeus, let alone have Sae actually take Hell.

But, you know. Just fighting the Emperor wasn't good enough conquering for the twins ;)

Really? Was Nariko the one intended to rule Hell?

I just figured, you know, one pit fiend wouldn't be enough for the twins and their army. Of course, Mike might have had plans for the devil army to harry us, except we over-planned and had every contingency avaiable. :P

No one was intended to rule Hell. Just kill Asmodeus, and maybe not even that. I THINK, in hindsight, we were supposed to start blowing trumpets instead of going after him ourselves. Hahaha. We can ask him on Wednesday or in email for specifics on how he thought what was gonna play out.

Yay overplanning! Made the pit fiend battle less scary, but... well, I found the Asmodeus battle pretty intense, myself.

Haha, whoops. XD

Mike made it all seem so smooth, though! Maybe he wasn't that surprised, given that he allowed two of the most neurotic players time to plan a combined strategy. :P

What I liked best about the Asmodeus battle is that, even though it was over quickly, several instants within those two rounds were really make-or-break moments. So much excitement!

Exactly. People are like "but it was only two rounds! That was easy." and I'm like "WE SPENT 3 DETERMINATION POINTS IN THOSE TWO ROUNDS! It was not 'easy'!"

So wouldn't be a ruler in hell eventually make you a deity of some sort?

You know, I have no idea. Mike has told me that Sae (and Khag, for as long as he serves her) will be immortal. I don't think she develops any divine powers though.

Plz be handing some of that immortality to Reika.

I don't think Subaru wants it, though. It'd make him angsty.

Hey, if Sae gets her way, she's going to be immortalizing her loved ones. Although I guess it's more accurate to say they'd be ageless, because as I understand it she can still be killed.

But Mike said that you guys had a conversation about the Guardians and immortality, so I'm keeping my hands off the subject for now.

Poor Subaru. He'd be sad because it'd keep him away from Jun. D;

Reika actually wouldn't be too interested in immortality if Sae wasn't going to be immortal. But she doesn't want her twin to be lonely.

Plus, if she's mortal, how would she keep long-lived Ichiro from taking over the universe?

Yeah, Sae wasn't keen on living forever. But if that's the case she'd be happy for her sister's company.

Oh, right, and then there's our megalomaniac teammate. :P
