Re #5 -- yeah, that sounds really familiar! The job doesn't even have to be hard to be draining, just...tedious, with repeated applications of "task I do not enjoy at all" (like talking to entitled students or their angry parents). I felt like that a lot coming home from macy's -- like I just didn't want to do anything but sit on the floor and feel sorry for myself. So I did, and then I'd go back to work the next day and...it did sort of perpetuate itself.

but it sounds like you're already thinking about where your next move will take you, which is good! That's a huge positive step. Good luck on the search!

Thank you! The frustration from this job has been a very slow build, which - relatively speaking - makes me lucky.

I think making the decision to be proactive and make a change is already helping lift some of the weight.
