You people deserve ego boosts [sigelphoenix]

I'm feeling squishy with love and respect for all of my friends right now. Here's a taste of it. I'm bastardizing the anonymous compliment meme that I saw on LJ some months back, but I have no idea how "correct" my method is.

Not everyone is on here, because I tried to hold myself to some semblance of order by limiting the number to ten. Of course that doesn't mean I don't have praise that I would shower on you all. ♥♥♥ I might just need to do another batch after this.

I tried to include distinguishing characteristics, but it might not be obvious. Also, one of them is a trick question of sorts. XD

1. There are a few specific things that I have admired about you since I first got to know you. Even after all the years that have passed, they are all still there. You've grown up and changed in necessary ways, while still managing to stay true to yourself.

2. I sort of admire you "from afar," because there are a lot of things that impress me about you that I don't get to talk about or point out to you. Your style, your wit, and most of all, how alive you are. I would have noticed you on the street and thought, "What a cool person. I wish I knew her." But, luckily, I don't need to wish it.

3. Most of the time I forget how young you are, because I feel like I've seen you grow so quickly and impressively in the short time I've known you, adapting to changes that should make a person's head spin. I can't even guess how much farther you'll go.

4. With a +5 to both Intelligence and Charisma, your force of personality is truly formidable. Sometimes it intimidates me. Usually it just makes me feel intense respect.

5. I don't know anyone else who is simultaneously one of the most guarded and cynical, yet one of the most caring people I could imagine. Most people who are the former couldn't dream of being as much of the latter - of being as good of a person - as you are.

6. You act as if you aren't smart even though you are. You act as if you're immature even though ... well, okay, you are. :P But sometimes you're not! And in those instances, you can really impress me.

7. The first impression I got of you was of a quiet, strong seme-type. Then I saw you squee over your significant other, so now I think you're both cool and cute. Also, the fact that you make your significant other (who is also on this list) happy is a huge mark in your favor.

8. You know what kind of person you want to be. I have never met anyone who tries harder to hold to that goal, even after all you have been through, and I admire you more than words can say. You're also really sexy.

9. Your sense of humor slays me. Also, for having things like a college degree, massive artistic talent, and a strong work ethic, you manage to be one of the least pretentious people I know.

10. Here you are, going off and doing amazing and important things in the grown-up world, and yet you have told me more than once that you think I'm the one who's impressive. You're so full of crap - in the best way.
