Seattle-area folks:

I just got the following email from one of my school mailing lists.

We found two beautiful, fluffy cats abandoned by their former owners. They are sweet, friendly, and house-trained, just looking for a new home to share the love. The first cat is cuddly, loves to sleep at the foot of the bed, eager to find a comfortable resting place beside a person to call her own. The second is more of a quiet charmer, looks exactly like a deep gray lion, also known affectionately as Mr. Fluffy Pantaloons because of his fur-trousers.

Both are playful, indoor/outdoor, probably 2-3 years old. We are smitten but already have multiple cats, so just caretaking until the right people come along. They are really special.

Even though I really (really really really) want to, I really can't. D: D: D: But can anyone else? Maybe pass the word along?

So I guess I was metafandomed, which is kind of funny, since I'm not often in fandom anymore. I do, however, quite often meta. :D I also think it's neat because, hey, people read what I wrote and agreed with it! Internet fame is real and lasting, right?

There are also some unfamiliar names on my "Friend of" list, so I wanted to take a moment and say: Who the hell are you people? XD

I'm, uh, still new to getting Friended by people I don't already know, so would you mind introducing yourselves? Just a little bit about who you are and what you're here for, and maybe what I'll find at your LJ. (I suppose I could try to learn all about you by reading your user info, but that feels kind of, I don't know, shady. XD;;)

Like I said, though, I don't often step into specific fandoms - just wallow in general geekery. But if you're looking for geek-tinged rants on social issues, you're in the right place. :D
