tangentially related -- once we come out of our hibernation cocoon and/or you guys get a hold of a 360 for yourselves, I really think you might like Last Remnant. Not only is it super fun and entertaining, it is really solid on gender and sexuality. Race is probably the least solid of the three, but I would still say it's on the positive side instead of dipping into the negative area.
Mainly I attribute this to Square's problem of going "Race! Okay, we have multiple races, see? Human and giant cat and giant fish and giant frog! :D :D :D...no?"

We would be more than happy to play it with you, except the game appears to be roughly infinity hours long and so it would probably take forever and you'd want to be doing the sidequests in between sessions probably. It's not a game where you have to worry about powerleveling (like DDS), but there are so many sidequests that reward you with things like money (rare) rare items (..rare) and skills you can't get anywhere else, like lotions (a form of healing) bombs (...guess) and shards (also a bomb, with a fancier name) ..also the sidequests are all really entertaining and fun.
Oh also you are automatically healed and all your sp restored after every battle, and your sp recharges itself IN battle as well. So we wouldn't have to be going SEAN USE HEALING ITEMS THAT IS WHAT THEY ARE FOR <3

Maybe we can just watch you play it sometime, to get a feel for the game first. If we come over before we get our 360, that is. Although honestly I can't predict which one I'm more likely to get off my butt and do first. -_-;; Social inertia ... it's hard to break out of. XD
