What I said I'd do.

Sunday

Today was another day like yesterday - very mellow and relaxed, spent socializing rather than doing solitary productive activities. Again, it was a good once-in-awhile indulgence, though I'm itching to get back to my goals (which is good!) and will do so tomorrow.

Monday

Physical Well-being
-Gym trip (took a little while to get motivated to go, since I had the day off and was at home, but I'm glad I went).

Relaxation
-Read a few issues in a volume of JSA.
-Watched some Doctor Who with [insanejournal.com profile] ratzeo.

Productivity
-Um ... hmm. ^^;; Apparently I used up all of my productivity energy for this weekend on Friday, because after I finished the fic I floundered about what new project to begin. That will be my task for Tuesday ...

Tuesday

Physical Well-being
-Gym trip. For what it was worth.

Relaxation
-I finished my novel today, the third book in the Vampire Huntress series, and the change in attitude between this book and the last was marked. After I finished the second book, I felt entertained enough that I wasn't opposed to starting the next one ... But this time, I had so much fun that I really wanted to start the next novel, and I was sad that I didn't have it with me at work! So I'll be reading in bed to get as much in as I can before sleep time.
-Read about two issues of JSA.

Productivity
-10 pages of theory reading.
-I said that opening my sketchbook would be an accomplishment, and to be honest, that's pretty much the extent of what I did tonight. I did some outlining of concepts rather than actual drawing; the feeling I had was that I was just doodling the ideas so I wouldn't forget them, and I would go back later when I could actually draw again. But at least it opens the door a bit.

Wednesday

I worked late tonight, so I didn't have as much time as I would've liked, but having my goals in mind prompted me to make use of what I had.

Physical Well-being
-Stretching.

Relaxation
-50 or so pages in my novel.

Productivity
-A blog post. I don't count this as a particularly strong one, in terms of relationship to activism, but I feel like it's a good start.

Thursday

Physical Well-being
-Stretching.

Relaxation
-Big chunk of novel reading.

Productivity
-I spent my evening on emails regarding this post, which I think was a useful and thought-provoking way to spend my time.

Friday

Physical Well-being
-Gym trip.

Relaxation
-Chunk of novel reading.

Productivity
-10 pages of theory reading.

Saturday

I had another non-"productive" but totally satisfying day - spent hanging out and watching Mamma Mia! with [insanejournal.com profile] lunapome. Like I said earlier, I'm not really bothered by having a day like this, since I'm actually doing what I want to do. It would be different if, say, I just sat around surfing the Internet out of boredom. I don't think I always need to be "working," as long as I'm conscious of what I'm spending my time on.

Maybe I'll give myself freebie days (once a week?) where I don't have to do anything for "Productivity," as long as I don't squander my time. That pretty much means doing "Relaxation" and "Physical Well-being" (because it's not like I can't spare a few minutes to stretch, even on a day "off"). My overall goals are to be conscious of how I spend my time, and to make sure it's spent how I want - I think having days of rest like this will contribute to that.

I haven't said anything, but these are inspiring. Especially since I'm looking to get back on track for future endeavors. (Ooooh! Cryptic!)

Thank you, that's helpful to hear. I know it's a small step (and even this small step has been a little bumpy), but it's a necessary one, and I think it'll be worthwhile for me.
