My university has announced an inclement weather shut-down for tomorrow - making this the third day in a row they've done so, when this is the first time they have officially shut down in years. The sudden snow dump really hit Seattle hard.

... On the other hand, I find it really really hard not to be gleeful like a child on a snow day. XD

...Huh. So...does that mean the office isn't open tomorrow? I didn't make it in monday, either. Due to snow. I PROMISE SOMEDAY I WILL GET IN AND FINISH YOUR PROJECT THOUGH D:

they closed my freshman year, right after school got back from winter break (I was so amused; I'd just come from 3+ feet of snow and -10 temps, seattle got something like two inches and the school was closed) but then...was that the year somebody sued over it? So they decided they wouldn't do it again?

Yup, everything is shut down. (Are you signed up for UW Alert (http://www.washington.edu/alert/index.php)? That's how I heard about it.) And theoretically, since I'm not visiting my parents, I will be able to do that project ... except I can't get to the office to do it. :P

Oh, I hadn't heard about that. Interesting that someone would sue over it - was it a student or an employee, do you know? O.o

Looking at the weather out there, I am not terribly sorry I can't get in. I certainly don't want to go out in that. >->a

I think it was a student? Something about paying for the privilege of learning and if they close the school he's not getting what he paid for blah blah?

Enjoy your day off :) We're fully open today, even though the roads are utter and complete suck. Still, a lot of people aren't making it in. (Although, more people are making it in than if they'd given us the option of a "snow day" or closed the office. So.)

I really hope it does turn to rain later :/

Sorry you still had to go to work. D:

At my place, a lot of the snow has melted (still a couple of inches' worth on the ground, but the roads are clear). I'm really hoping the weather forecast is correct and it doesn't get cold enough to re-freeze.
