Yay! Happy stuff!

When Mike built Subaru for me, he thought it would only take an hour or two. Four hours later...

reminded me that it is always a choice to let myself get stressed out. It may be hard to choose not to stress, but it is not impossible. And when I make that choice, not only am I happier, but those around me are, as well.

It's also helps that you're willing to listen to that advice :) The last time I tried to remind someone of this, I got "YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND MY PAIN" as a response ;)

Regardless, I try to live in that manner, and it helps me out :D

Kitty! We saw a little kitten at the street hair that Mike had to drag me away from, because I was willing to adopt it right there and then ;)

Yeah ... I thought it would help that Mike gave me some parameters, so I didn't have to build Khag from scratch. And it did help, but I'm also OCD and worry about every part of the character and try to make everything perfect. :P

That advice is hard to hear. One thing that helped me is that Sean pointed out that I was doing something fun and could enjoy it in a relaxed manner - in other words, he gave me positive advice rather than giving me a blanket "stop stressing." Saying it this way distinguishes between positive/allowable emotions (for me, being super-focused on leveling - but it could also be mourning things that are sad, being angry at things that are problems) and the destructive stress that is just turned in on oneself, without invalidating the unhappy feelings as a whole.

Did you go to the no-kill cat shelter booth? With the grey kitties? They were unfairly adorable. D:

They had a little white kitten with tabby spots at the no-kill shelter with the gray ones. I wanted it so badly.
