So, I didn't get the new job.

I have to admit, I feel somewhat relieved. Because I avoid facing the stress of making the choice (stay or go), and also the stress that this fast-paced, higher-responsibility position would entail. And, based on various impressions I'd gotten of the position, I'm not sure I would have considered those stresses worth the benefits of the promotion.

I am, of course, a little disappointed that I wasn't selected, because it never feels good to get rejected from a job. But I was told that I interviewed very well, and they liked my writing samples (which were just papers from school). They hired someone who had more experience than me, which is a weak point that I knew I had.

So. All in all, that went okay, and I'm glad I got the extra interviewing experience.

Sorry you didn't get the offer, but I'm glad you feel it's for the best. And, as you mentioned in an earlier post, it's not as if that's the only opportunity to move up you're ever going to have there. *hugs*

Yup, this turned out well more than it did poorly. But thanks for the commiseration/support. *hugs*

More opportunities will present themselves, because you are clearly destined for great things!
