All right, so I'm a huge masochist when it comes to drama, online drama in particular (which is why I don't let myself go to Fandom Wank anymore). So when a male-identified feminist introduces himself on
feminist with an entry about how difficult it is for him to be a feminist ... Well. Yeah. I shouldn't read it.
But "can men be feminists?" is a significant issue -- and by significant, I mean it tends to take up a lot of discussion time, but not that it necessarily should -- so I figured I'd talk about it. To try to put the octopus to bed, I suppose. :P Of course, first I had to read the thread, and the shitfits being thrown at
anti_feminism, and the repost of the OP's deleted "goodbye" post, because I'm that way. But then I walked away, got some air, reminded myself that stupidity on the Internet is not getting worked up over ... and now I'm back, ready to talk about the actual issue.
( oh noes it's teh menz! )
