In the two years I've been at my current job, I've seen three receptionists leave. The first time was back in late 2004, a few months after I started, when the longtime receptionist retired. Her replacement worked for several months, but then this spring ended up moving to an administrative position inside the office. His replacement started working over the summer, but I just found that he's going to be leaving next week.

Maybe this is a sign and I should just try to become the receptionist for the office. :P For a while now I've been considering working here after graduation. At the very least, I know I like it better than working the front desk at a business -- whiny students are nowhere near as annoying as self-righteous customers. >_> And besides, I think there'd be some lovely irony in me working at a stereotypical pink-collar job. :P

Or maybe I should stop entertaining strange and idle thoughts and just get back to work ... *stares at clock*
