My poor wallet

Barnes & Noble is having a buy 2 get 1 free sale on DVDs.

Should I, or should I not, get the first three seasons of the new Doctor Who?

I loved season 1, and I'm enjoying season 2 so far. As for season 3, I'm probably going to love Martha, but I've also been warned I'll hate what they do with her character. So. :/

On the other hand ... it's not *that* expensive, for three seasons' worth of DVDs that I'll (at least mostly) enjoy ...

If it's worth anything, I actually think Martha was pretty damn awesome the whole way through -- there's a point that makes things go kind of "..." but I think they sort of make up for it? o_oa I dunno. Speaking of Doctor Who, if you get season 2, do you still want to watch it together at some point?

HOWEVER if there's a sale on DVDs, I still need to get season 3 on actual DVD, sooooooo ... *g*

Go for it! :D I took advantage of the same sale (although in my case it was at Borders) and got some movies I've been wanting. ^^ Get 'em while they're hot!

For what it's worth, with regard to Season 3: I thought Martha was awesome. And although I felt bad for her sometimes, she never stopped being an awesome character. What she does at the end of the season is particularly awesome, in my opinion.
